MeYou is a companion that remembers. Remembering means keeping what you say, so this page is about exactly what is kept, where it lives, who can reach it, and how to have it gone.
What we keep
- Your conversations. What you say and what MeYou answers, by voice, in the app's chat, or on WhatsApp. Spoken words are turned into text; the audio itself is not stored.
- What MeYou learns from them. Facts drawn from your conversations — your dog's name, where you live, what you are working on — so it can bring them back later.
- Your account. Email address, phone number, the name you asked to be called, time zone, language and your settings.
- Where you are, as a name. "Riva, İstanbul", not coordinates. Your phone resolves the position and keeps it; only the name reaches us, and only while you leave location on.
- What you send. Photos and documents you share with MeYou, and what it read in them.
- Reminders, notes and mail you asked MeYou to keep or send.
What we never keep
- Recordings of your voice.
- Your exact coordinates.
- Payment card details. Payments, when there are any, go through the app stores.
Where it lives
Every person's memory sits in databases of their own, not in a shared table with a column saying whose row it is. Servers are in the European Union.
Who else sees it
MeYou is built on a small number of services, and each sees only the part it needs to do its job:
- LeapMemory — stores your memory and finds what is relevant. Also ours, and under the same isolation.
- Anthropic, via OpenRouter — writes MeYou's replies. Receives the conversation, not your account details.
- ElevenLabs — turns your speech into text and MeYou's text into speech.
- Twilio — carries phone calls.
- Meta — carries WhatsApp messages, under WhatsApp's own terms.
- Google — only if you open that door yourself, and only for what you allowed: calendar, inbox or contacts. Read access, revocable at any time in the app.
Nobody else. Your conversations are not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to train anyone's models.
Reading and deleting
Everything MeYou knows about you is visible in the app, in plain sentences, and can be deleted there — one memory, or all of it. Deleting a conversation also removes what was learned from it. Ask us to close your account and everything goes with it; write to meyou@meyou.ai.
How long
Memories are kept until you delete them, because a companion that forgets on a schedule is not one. Everything is removed when your account is closed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, its correction, its deletion, or for us to stop processing it. Write to meyou@meyou.ai and you will hear from a person. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.
Children
MeYou is for adults. It is not built or marketed for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, MeYou will say so in the app before the change applies.
