Privacy here is not a setting you go and find, and not a tier you pay for. It is the shape of the thing: your memory sits in a database of its own, and everything below follows from that.
What it never does
Four things MeYou will not do with what you said.
Not as a policy that can be revised in a quiet release. These are the things the business is built without.
No selling
Your conversations are not sold, rented, or handed to a data broker. What you pay for the service is the whole of the business.
No training
Your words do not train anyone's model, ours included. A model reads your memory to answer you, and learns nothing from it afterwards.
No listening in
Nobody sits behind the product reading conversations for quality. What you say is between you, the voice, and your own database.
What it keeps, and what it lets go
Your words stay. The rest does not.
Your voice is never kept
Speech becomes text as you speak it, and the audio is gone. What stays is the sentence and the date you said it, which is the part that is any use to you later.
Your position stays on your phone
Your phone turns a position into a place, "Old Town, Tallinn", and keeps the coordinates to itself. Only the name of the place reaches us, and only while you leave location on.
Nothing arrives by accident
Mail, calendar, contacts: each one is a door you open, one at a time, and close when you want. What you do not connect, MeYou never sees.
What you can do about it
Everything it knows is in your hands.
See it
Open the memory in the app and read what it has: every subject it has picked up, and the sentences behind each one. Nothing is kept from you, and nothing is kept anywhere you cannot look.
Delete it
Delete one memory and it goes. Close the account and the database goes with it, backups included. Because the store is yours alone, deleting is a deletion, not a row marked and hoped about.
Why it can be promised
A wall, not a rule.
Every assistant can write these promises on a page. What decides whether they hold is where the data sits when a model goes looking for it.
Isolation
Your memory is a database of its own, with its own credentials, its own backup and its own deletion. A model cannot leak what it cannot see, because the other databases are not there to be read.
